by a leadingMoscow newspaper that seven Russian warplanes were destroyed in a New Year's Eve attack on the Khmeimim air base in Syria. Two Russian servicemen died in the attack, according to the ministry. Clearly, fighting in Syria isn't over for Russia yet, despite President Vladimir Putin's self-congratulatory conversations with Syrian ally Basharal-Assad.

Recently, however,General Valery Gerasimov, head of Russia's General Staff, made public his Aliceolivia Woman Calla Oneshoulder Ruffled Cottonpoplin Top Black Size M Alice amp; Olivia ErdDxe5FxN
of the Syrian operation, revealingRussia's military priorities in Syria and its persistentconviction that every conflict in which it is involved is a proxy waragainst the U.S. That war won't be over even once Syrian violence subsides.

In the interview with pro-Kremlin daily Komsomolskaya Pravda, Gerasimov provides the basis for Putin's claims that Russia has defeated ISIS. These claims, of course, compete with FOOTWEAR Courts Le Silla aajEUx
of U.S. President Donald Trump, who has said the victory was his, and those of former U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter, who claims in a recent memoir that Russia was merely a "spoiler" of a winning strategy Carter had devised.

Though neither Russia nor the U.S. can credibly claim a full victory, the currentof Syria leans toward the Russian version: The Assad regime controls most of the country's territory, an amazing achievement after barely holding on to 10 percent of it in the summer of 2015.

Both great military powers used similar strategies, refusing to put boots on the ground in a major way and relying instead on local forces to do the fighting. "'Lasting defeat required enabling local forces to reclaim territory from ISIS and hold it rather than attempting to substitute for them," Carter wrote. "That meant focusing U.S. forces on training, equipping, enabling, and often accompanying them." It worked only partially for the U.S. -- mainly to the extent that it helped Kurdish fighters, who now control Syria's northern and northeastern areas.

Since 1997, the Theatre Program’s international activity has grown from a handful of international observers at the Theatre Lab in Utah to over 14 years of deep peer-to-peer intercultural engagement in six East African countries and, currently, in the Middle East North Africa. Exposure and exchange foster the pursuit of artistic freedom, a celebration of diversity, a commitment to transparency and openness, and an appreciation of differences.

The Theatre Program serves as “the space between” the conception of a work and its eventual production by providing artists time for reflection, experimentation and mentoring within the context of an intimate peer-level artistic community. In 2016, the Theatre Program expanded this notion to describe not only the complex space between idea and production, but also to open up new spaces of aesthetic, cultural and geographical exploration.

OUR GOALS IN THE MIDDLE EAST NORTH AFRICA

OUR CONTEXT

Middle East / North Africa (MENA)

The Theatre Program is in the midst of a multi-year initiative to foster meaningful engagement between US MENA theatre artists through a series of peer-to-peer exposure exchange activities within Arabic-speaking countries, among MENA artistic diaspora in Europe, and in the larger context of our US-focused Labs. Now led by Middle East North Africa Manager Jumana Al-Yasiri, this initiative, welcomes artists inspired by major transformations in the region as well as those interested in building alliances through artistic practice, with a special focus on those who are creating new theatre works in Arabic (classical dialects).

2017 | The Theatre Program offered the MENA Playwrights Residency in Berlin to theatre artists, particularly Syrian, who have been based in Europe for five years or less (2011-2016). The focus of this Residency was text-based projects of newcomers to Europe working in Arabic. Additionally in 2017, projects and artists from MENA were incorporated into all of our Labs Retreats. Other participation around the globe included:
2013-2015

East Africa

Sundance Institute is proud to have supported a generation of East African theatre-makers. East African Initiative alumni remain members of the extended Sundance Theatre Program family. During our over 14-year initiative, begun in 2002, the Theatre Program engaged dozens of artists with support in the form of Labs, workshops and visits with the goals of introducing them to their American counterparts, as well as to provide temporary infrastructure in East Africa for artists to sustain their engagements into the future. For more information about past current activities in East Africa, please contact Deborah Asiimwe , Program Associate.

The following programs activities reflect the range of creative programming currently available in East Africa. Sundance Institute is a proud partner in these efforts. For activities all across Africa, we invite you to contact S7115 Womens Pumps Sebastian Professional vvTn8XeV42

Devised in collaboration with , Creative Tensions explores the opposing forces that inform our daily lives and is a collective conversation expressed in movement, wherein participants reveal where they stand on an issue by virtue of where they stand in the room. One of the first steps you must take in the incorporation process is to prepare a certificate or articles of incorporation. Some states will provide you with a printed form for this, which either you or your attorney can complete. The information requested includes the proposed name of the corporation, the purpose of the corporation, the names and addresses of the parties incorporating, and the location of the principal office of the corporation. The corporation will also need a set of bylaws that describe in greater detail than the articles how the corporation will run, including the responsibilities of the shareholders, directors and officers; when stockholder meetings will be held; and other details important to running the company. Once your articles of incorporation are accepted, the secretary of state's office will send you a certificate of incorporation. Where to Incorporate One major decision to make when incorporating involves selecting the proper state of incorporation. You're not required to incorporate in the state where your business operates; you can choose from any one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.

A corporation is referred to as a foreign corporation in all states except for the state where it is incorporated. If a corporation is transacting business in a state other than where it was incorporated, it may be required to register for a certificate of authority to transact business (also called foreign qualification) in the other state. If a corporation is transacting business and fails to register as a foreign corporation, it may lose access to that state's courts and face tax fines and penalties.

A foreign corporation that registers for a certificate of authority in another state must pay state filing fees for the qualification filing; these fees are typically more expensive than the cost of filing for a domestic corporation. Also, foreign qualified corporations are subject to taxes and annual report fees from both the state of incorporation and the qualifying state. Thus, the actual advantage of incorporating in a state with very low initial filing fees and low corporate income tax is not as great as it appears if your business must still qualify to do business in its state of operations.

The definition of "transacting business" depends on the state and the situation. Consult your attorney to determine how the law applies to your situation. In general, though, some factors that a state considers when determining whether a corporation is transacting business in a state include:
